Body Gut Connection: Our bodies are constantly storing information about the world around us. This information is stored in our memories, which are in the brain. However, our bodies also store information more physically, through our muscles, tissues, and organs. When we experience something traumatic, our bodies go into a state of fight-or-flight. This is a natural response that helps us to survive in dangerous situations. However, if the trauma is severe or prolonged, our bodies may not be able to fully recover. The trauma can be stored in our bodies as physical sensations, such as tightness, tension, or pain. These sensations can be triggered by thoughts, feelings, or situations that remind us of the trauma. Bodies are constantly storing information about the war For example, someone who experienced a car accident may feel tightness in their chest when they see a car coming towards them. Or someone who was sexually assaulted may feel pain in their abdomen when they are touched. Or a shoulder coming back from war. It is important to be aware of the physical sensations that are associated with our traumatic experiences. These sensations can be a sign that we are still working through the trauma. There are several ways to work through trauma. One way is to talk about it with a therapist. Talking can help us to understand the trauma and to start to process it. Another way to work through trauma is to work with our bodies. This can be done through a variety of therapies, such as somatic therapy, body-centered therapy, or craniosacral therapy. These therapies can help us to release the physical sensations that are associated with the trauma. They can also help us to connect with our bodies and to learn how to regulate our emotions. When we work with our bodies to heal from trauma, we are giving ourselves the opportunity to fully recover. We are also learning to trust our bodies and to feel safe in the world. We bring a psychotherapy approach that focuses on helping people to find their inner compass and to realize their full potential. The approach is based on the belief that everyone has the capacity to heal and grow, even from the most difficult experiences. the treatment is particularly effective for people who have experienced trauma. The approach helps people to understand the physical and emotional impact of trauma, and to develop coping mechanisms for managing the symptoms of trauma. we use a variety of techniques to help people heal from trauma, including:

  • Bodywork: We use gentle touch to help people access and release the physical sensations that are associated with trauma.

  • Talk therapy: We also provide talk therapy to help people understand and process their traumatic experiences.

  • Mindfulness: We teach mindfulness techniques to help people connect with their bodies and their emotions in a safe and supportive way.

We can be a powerful tool for healing from trauma. The approach can help people to find relief from their symptoms, and to build a more fulfilling and meaningful life. Here are some specific examples of how we can help people who have experienced trauma:

  • A woman who was sexually assaulted may have learned to tense her stomach muscles to protect herself. can help release this tension and feel safe again.

  • A man who experienced a car accident may have developed a fear of driving.

we can help him work through his fear and feel comfortable driving again.

  • A child who was bullied may have developed low self-esteem. A therapist can help one to build self-esteem and to feel good about oneself.

If you have experienced trauma, we may be a helpful approach for you.
